Candlelit Pilates
A slow, all-levels mat Pilates class in the candlelit studio. Strength, breath and a quieter start to the weekend, followed by tea.
What to expect
The studio is set with candles and mats before you arrive. The class moves at an unhurried pace through classic mat Pilates, with a focus on the core, posture and breath, and options to make each movement gentler or stronger.
Afterwards the lights come up a little, the tea comes out, and there is time to sit and talk before the day begins. Come on your own or bring a friend.
What’s included

Good questions
I have never done Pilates. Can I come?
Yes. The class is taught for all levels, with options to make every movement gentler or harder, so first-timers and regulars work side by side.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle. Mats, rings and everything else are provided. We work in bare feet or grip socks.
How long is it?
The class runs for about 60 minutes, then we stay for tea. Allow 75 minutes in total.
Is it suitable if I have an injury or am pregnant?
Please tell us before you book. Pilates can often be adapted, but we will always suggest checking with your health professional first.
How many people are in a class?
It is a small group so the teacher can guide everyone. Spots are limited, so request yours early.
An hour of moving slowly, in a room lit by candles.
