A relaxed, all-levels life drawing session with a model and zero pressure to be good. Just charcoal, paper, and a couple of quiet hours.

What to expect
A model, a series of poses from quick gestures to longer holds, and a room set up for you to just draw. All levels welcome, whether you sketch daily or have not held charcoal since school. There is light guidance if you want it, and none if you do not.
Materials are here, and the mood is calm and social. You take home a stack of drawings and a looser hand.

This is a drawing session using charcoal and paper. Charcoal marks skin and clothing, so wear something you do not mind smudging. Taking part is voluntary. If you have an injury, a health condition, an allergy or anything else we should know about, please tell us before the session starts.
No experience needed, and no one is looking over your shoulder. Wear something you do not mind smudging a little charcoal on. Runs regularly, so if this date does not suit, the next one will.

Do I need any experience?
None at all. Complete beginners and regulars share the same room. There's no pressure to produce a masterpiece. It's about looking closely and enjoying the hour.
Are materials provided?
Yes. Paper, charcoal and everything you need are set up at your easel. Just bring yourself.
Is there a live model?
Yes. We work with a professional life model, as is traditional for life drawing. The room is calm, respectful and focused throughout.
What's the atmosphere like?
Low light and a quiet, focused room. More meditative than intimidating.
Can I take my drawings home?
Of course. Everything you make on the night is yours to keep.
